HACI is a unique pan-African partnership created to address the challenges faced by millions of African children who have either been orphaned by AIDS or live with parents who are sick or dying from AIDS-related illnesses. Strengthening the Performance of Semi-Autonomous Agencies and Statutory Bodies, Guyana
There are over 60 semi-autonomous government agencies and statutory bodies in Guyana. The heads of these ‘agencies’ report to various government ministers covering portfolios for justice, health, housing, land, environment, transport, finance and others. The strengthening of agencies project is part of the wider Public Management Modernisation Programme (PMMP) and ran until the end of 2008. (more…)
Develop and Implement a Performance Management System for the CARICOM Secretariat, Guyana
The purpose of this project was to develop and implement a Performance Management System for the CARICOM Secretariat. The system was designed to link measurement of individual performance to employee development and compensation; to provide for the measurement of team or group performance; as well as be aligned with the measurement of the achievement of the Secretariat’s overall strategic objectives. Delta Partnership supported the PANCAP Coordinating Unit (PCU) between 2007 and 2008 to define the most appropriate, effective and efficient organisational structure and management arrangements; to transfer the requisite administrative and financial management skills to key staff members; and to develop stronger systems for the harmonisation of regional HIV/AIDS projects and programmes. Systematic Review of the Administration of Justice Programme, Barbados
The Government of Barbados received a loan from the IADB to assist in the modernisation of the justice sector by improving current administration processes, enhancing access to justice and reducing the economic and social costs associated with criminal behaviour. Review of the Government strategy on Public Finance Reform by the Development Partner Group, Kenya
The Development Partner Group comprises representatives of thirteen countries providing support to the Government of Kenya in this area. Following the production of a strategy, more than thirty staff, consultants and technical advisors reviewed the strategy, providing suggestions for strengthening the strategy and implementation arrangements.
